Olight, a global premium flashlight manufacturer, is extending their product line to introduce a universal rechargeable battery dock. The Omni-Dok is an intelligent, two-bay charging system designed to charge different battery types simultaneously.
The dual battery bays run on independently powered circuits that automatically regulate charge current based on battery type. This allows the Omni-Dok to safely charge different batteries at the same time.
Independent bays also allow the user to monitor the charge levels of each battery. Corresponding green LED charge indicators notify the user when a battery is charged 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The indicators are invisible when not flashing for easy-to-read output levels.
Safety is always a concern with lithium batteries and the Omni-Dok offers multiple features for user and battery protection. Overcharge protection stops a bay from charging once that cell is fully charged. Power indicators will rapidly blink and charging will not begin if attempting to charge unsupported batteries, if cells are improperly installed (reverse polarity protection), or if there is a short between positive and negative ports.
The Omni-Dok is compatible with the most common types of rechargeable batteries including AAA, AA, 14500, RCR123a and 18650 batteries. It can also charge 17670 and 16340 batteries.
In conjunction with the Omni-Dok release comes Olight’s latest line of rechargeable batteries. The new lithium-ion batteries include a 650mAh RCR123a, 750mAh 14500 and two 18650 options with either 2600 or 3400mAh. These powerful, protected cells are compatible the Omni-Dok to keep your flashlight and other electronic devices powered up.
The Omni-Dok is available now for $21.30 from select dealers and batteries begin at $4.25. A list of global dealers and distributors as well as full product specs can be found on olightworld.com.
