Olight, a global premium flashlight manufacturer, is proud to introduce a new, defensive take on the popular M18 Maverick. The M18 Striker uses the same compact form of the Maverick, but features a simplified user interface, instant access to 800 lumens, and aggressive bezel for a last-resort defensive tool.
The Striker was designed specifically for protection in the event of a possible assailant. Pressing the tailcap switch blasts 800 lumens instantly for disorientation allowing time for a getaway. When the light is not enough, a sharp, aggregated ¼” bezel serves as a supplementary tool.
Powered by two CR123a, two RCR123a or a single 18650, the Striker also offers a lower 150-lumen setting for non-defensive scenarios accessible through half presses of the tailcap. The low output setting is never memorized, leaving no room for error when needed as a defensive light.
Its unibody design is milled from aerospace-grade aluminum that is covered with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish, making it a remarkably sturdy light fit for heavy-duty use. And its stainless steel bezel provides extra protection against drops. It is also waterproof up to two meters.
The M18 Striker comes with a lanyard, spare O-rings, spare silicon boot and battery magazine. The battery magazine assists in maintaining electrical continuity, even under heavy recoil, with no blink or flicker. When you inhibit battery movement inside the flashlight body, you also protect the batteries from damage that can shorten the battery life.
The M18 Striker is currently available for $59.95 and can be purchased from Olight dealers. A list of authorized dealers can be found on olightworld.us.
